Before & After: Custom Patio Cover Installation in Middle Tennessee

July 24, 2026

Adding a custom patio cover is one of the best ways to enhance your outdoor living space, and this recent project is a perfect example of the difference it can make. At S&S Design Build, we recently completed a beautiful patio cover installation that transformed an open backyard into a comfortable, functional space the homeowners can enjoy throughout the year.

Our latest before-and-after video showcases the entire transformation—from the original patio to the finished covered outdoor living area. The completed patio cover provides shade from the summer sun, protection from rain, and a welcoming space for family gatherings, outdoor dining, and relaxing evenings.

Why Choose a Custom Patio Cover?

A professionally designed patio cover offers more than just protection from the weather. It also provides several long-term benefits for homeowners, including:

  • Increased outdoor living space
  • Protection for outdoor furniture and grills
  • Improved curb appeal
  • Added value to your home
  • Reduced direct sunlight and heat on your patio
  • A more comfortable space for entertaining family and friends

Whether you're looking to create a quiet retreat or an outdoor entertainment area, a custom patio cover can dramatically improve the way you use your backyard.

Built for Your Home

At S&S Design Build, every patio cover is designed specifically for your home and lifestyle. We work closely with homeowners to create outdoor spaces that blend seamlessly with the existing architecture while meeting their functional needs.

In addition to patio covers, we also design and build:

  • Screen Enclosures
  • Concrete Patios and Extensions
  • Sunrooms
  • Motorized Units
  • Decks

Our goal is to deliver exceptional craftsmanship and durable materials that homeowners can enjoy for years to come.
