From Backyard to Outdoor Living Space: A Recently Completed Patio & Screen Enclosure Project | S&S Design Build

June 24, 2026

At S&S Design Build, we love helping homeowners turn unused outdoor areas into spaces they can truly enjoy—and this recently completed project is a great example of that.

For this backyard transformation, we started by extending the existing concrete patio to create a larger and more functional outdoor area. From there, we installed a patio cover to provide shade and protection from the elements, making the space more comfortable throughout the year.

To complete the project, we added a screen enclosure, creating an outdoor living area that offers fresh air without the inconvenience of bugs and debris.

The end result is a backyard that feels like an extension of the home—perfect for:

  • Relaxing with family
  • Hosting friends and gatherings
  • Enjoying morning coffee outdoors
  • Creating a more usable space year-round

Outdoor upgrades like patio covers, screen enclosures, and extended patios not only improve comfort but can also enhance the overall enjoyment and functionality of your home.

If you’ve been thinking about transforming your backyard into a space you’ll actually use and enjoy, we’d love to help bring your vision to life.
